About Course

This learning programme is intended for all persons currently in people management or aspiring to enter the field. It provides the individual with a diverse set of skills to enable the application of best practices within a people management role.

This programme is run over 8 days (2 consecutive days per unit standard) and is virtually facilitated on the following dates:

11 and 12 October 2023
24 and 25 October 2023
6 and 7 November 2023
22 and 23 November 2023

 

Important to note: The dates may change should there not be a minimum of 5 students registered for this specific date.

This is a SETA Accredited course consisting of 4 Unit Standards:

  • US 252027: Devise and apply strategies to establish and maintain workplace relationships: NQF 5 with 6 credits which consists of the following modules
    • Module 1: Liaise and network with internal and external stakeholders
    • Module 2: Devise and apply a strategy to establish constructive relationships with manager(s)
    • Module 3: Identify and minimise personal conflict in a unit
    • Module 4: Devise and apply a strategy to establish constructive relationships with team members in a unit
  • US 252037: Build teams to achieve goals and objectives: NQF 5 with 6 credits which consists of the following modules
    • Module 1: Theory of Teams
    • Module 2: Apply the Theory of Teams to Team Dynamics
    • Module 3: Explain the Process of Building Teams
    • Module 4: Analyse the Role of the Team Leader in Building Teams
    • Module 5: Evaluate and Improve the Effectiveness of a Team
  • US 252043: Manage a diverse workforce to add value: NQF 5 with 6 credits which consists of the following modules
    • Module 1: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of diversity in the workplace
    • Module 2: Demonstrate understanding of the reality of diversity and its value in a unit
    • Module 3: Manage team members taking into account similarities and differences
    • Module 4: Deal with disagreements and conflicts arising from diversity in a unit
  • US 15224: Empower Team Members through recognising strengths, encouraging participation in decision making: NQF 5 with 4 credits which consists of the following modules
    • Module 1: Recognise team member performance
    • Module 2: Encourage participation in decision-making
    • Module 3: Delegate tasks
    • Module 4: Review decisions and performance of delegated tasks

 

To successfully complete the programme, the following requirements must be met and delivered to deadline for each unit standard:

  • Submission of your Portfolio of Evidence
  • Accurately completed supporting documentation
  • Fully completed Learner Workbook
  • 100% attendance for all training days.

 

You will be provided with 6 weeks to submit your Portfolio of Evidence once you have completed the 2 days of facilitated training for each unit standard. Your submissions will be assessed and moderated. If you are found competent, you will be issued with a Certificate of Competence and a Statement of Results from the Services Seta.
