Our Leadership module serves as an introduction to leadership for aspiring or new junior to mid-level leaders.
We unpack the concept of leadership, different theories and styles of leadership and analyse the qualities of effective leadership.

This programme is run over 2 days on 14 – 15 September 2023 and is virtually facilitated.

Important to note: The dates may change should there not be a minimum of 5 students registered for this specific date.

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

• Define leadership and management and differentiate them using examples​
• Differentiate the roles and qualities of a leader and compare it with those of a manager in a work context​
• Discuss the concepts of accountability and responsibility pertaining to a leader and manager
• Identify the various theories of leadership and discuss it in a work context​
• Examine trends and developments relating to the​ different leadership theories with examples​
• Select and apply a leadership theory in own work context​
• Analyse leadership roles, qualities and abilities in order to formulate own leadership development strategy​
